Please join the Reedy HS, Pearson MS and Pioneer Heritage MS, Percussion Students for an afternoon of some amazing music.
Our special musical guest this year will be Drum Set/Percussion Artist, Mrs. Julie Davila.
Mrs. Davila is world renowned Percussion Artist, Composer, Educator and Clinician. She is also a professor of music at Middle Tennessee State University.
The concert is this coming next weekend Saturday March 7th, at 3pm in the Reedy High School Auditorium.
This event also serves as a fundraiser benefiting our percussionists from Reedy HS, Pearson MS and Pioneer Heritage MS. Please invite your friends and family!
Free Percussion Clinic: 12PM - 1PM
Concert: 3PM
Reedy HS Auditorium
Admission: $15 per person at the door (if your child is performing, ask them about “The Deal”)
FISD employees are free with ID.

March 10th- Symphonic Band Pre-UIL
When: Tuesday, March 10th, 2026 - Reedy HS Auditorium
Bring: Instrument (and all the supplies needed to play it) and band binder.
Wear: “Formal Uniform” (Black dress pants, Black dress shirt (button-up or blouse) with sleeves that hit the elbows or below, Black dress shoes (closed toe, flat bottom), Plain, long black dress socks or stockings. See a great example of band students wearing the correct uniform in this instagram post!
SYMPHONIC BAND ITINERARY
6:50 pm Arrive at Reedy HS. Go to the Orchestra Room.
7:00 pm Warm-up begins
7:30 pm Symphonic Band Performs on the auditorium stage.
7:50 pm Symphonic Band Performs Sightreading in the Orchestra Room (parents are welcome to
watch sightreading too!)
8:15 pm Approximate dismissal time.
I am aware of a tennis conflict on this same night. If this applies to your child, I will be sending an email next week to hopefully provide a resolution.
This performance is part of the Symphonic Band curriculum as well as an essential part of our UIL preparation, therefore attendance and participation is required and graded. Students who do not attend Pre-UIL without prior communication with a band director will not be eligible to attend UIL. If any conflicts arise, please contact Mr. Jenson and Ms. Jobe ASAP.

March 10th- Panera Bread Spirit Night

FHS Band Party- March 13th
Hello 7th and 8th grade Band families,
Next Friday, March 13, we’ll be holding our annual Frisco Band Cluster Spring Party! 5:00 – 10:00 pm here at FHS.
All FHS-Bound 7th/8th Graders are welcome (Students MAY bring Band friends not zoned to FHS to this event)
We’ll have lots of games going on, including video games, board games, and games in the gym (basketball, dodgeball, volleyball, soccer, etc). *Students can play these games whether they sign up for official tournament teams or not! Tournament sign-ups have been posted in their middle school band halls, and will be available through Thursday, March 12.
PIZZA and DESSSERTS will be provided free of charge by our wonderful Band Boosters! (vegetarian/non-dairy options available)
We’ll be revealing the theme and music of our 2026 marching band production
Students may be dropped off and picked up at the Band Hall entrance in the back of the school (Click here)

It’s a great time to get involved, as there are still upperclassmen parents around to help with transitions into new roles. Symphonic Band UIL- March 27th
The Pearson Symphonic Band will be attending the annual UIL Concert and Sight-Reading evaluation on Friday March 27 at Wakeland High School.
Schedule is as follows:
8:25 AM: 1st period- All Symphonic Band students meet in the band hall dressed in their concert black uniform for attendance and a short warm-up
9:10am Load busses
9:15am: Depart for Wakeland High School
9:35am: Arrive at Wakeland High School
10:05 Begin warm-up
10:40 Stage performance
11:10am: Sight-Reading performance
11:40am Load the busses and depart for Pearson MS
12:00pm Arrive back at Pearson, unload and go to 5th period
Students are welcome to bring their regular clothes to change into once we return to school.
Parents and families are invited and encouraged to attend both the Concert and Sight-reading portions of our evaluation, but please note that photography and videos are not allowed in the sight-reading room.
If you are attending, please note that the WHS parking lot fills up heavily between 10:20 am and 3:40 pm. Please plan on leaving extra time in order to find a parking spot.
Sectional Schedule (Spring 2026)
Symphonic Band:
Instead of sectionals, we will be rehearsing as a full band on Monday 3/9 and Monday 3/23 from 3:55-4:55 PM. This will serve as student's sectional grade for the week.
Concert Band:
Concert Band sectionals are on hold during the next week.
Band Sectionals / Bad weather policy:
-If school or school activities are cancelled for bad weather, sectionals are cancelled.
-If FISD has a delayed start to the school day, sectionals are cancelled.
-If there is bad weather, but school and school activities are not cancelled, we will still have sectionals. Please be safe when dropping your students off.
-If the band director needs to cancel a sectional, that will be communicated via email.
Frisco ISD Summer Band Camp
The middle school band directors of Frisco ISD are excited to announce the dates of the 2026 Frisco ISD Middle School Summer Band Camp. This camp is for current 6th and 7th grade (fall 2026 7th & 8th grade) band students in Frisco ISD and will be aimed towards playing fun music and meeting new friends across the district. Your student also will have the opportunity to work with expert teachers and professional musicians / educators. Please see the information below for more details!
Who? Current 6th and 7th grade (fall 2026 7th & 8th grade) Frisco ISD Band students
When? Monday-Thursday, June 1-4, 2026 (8:00 AM-12:00 PM each day, concert on Thursday starting at 11:00 AM)
Where? Memorial HS (12300 Frisco St., Frisco, TX 75033) & Emerson HS (6300 Collin McKinney Pkwy, McKinney, TX 75070)
How Much? $100
How do I sign up?
Fill out the registration Google Form found in our Frisco ISD MS Summer Band Camp website from March 23-April 12, 2026.
Pay for the camp on OnlineSchoolFees during the payment window (April 20-May 4). Summer camp registration will be billed through the FISD online school fees account. The entry fee will not be active for a few weeks after filling out the registration form.
The payment window will be open in OnlineSchoolFees from April 20-May 4.

Please note that your registration is not complete until payment has been received through OnlineSchoolFees in the payment window. End of day on May 4th is a hard deadline to submit payment for the camp.
