UIL Itinerary and Information
Next week, the Concert Band and Symphonic Band will be performing at the annual Region 24 UIL Concert and Sightreading Evaluation.
Concert Band is performing on Wednesday March 29
8:25 AM: Students are seated in the Pearson Middle School band hall wearing our concert black uniform. We will have a short warm-up/supply check before we leave.
9:00: Load busses
9:05: Depart for Frisco High School (6401 Parkwood Blvd, Frisco, TX 75034)
9:20: Arrive at Frisco High School
9:50: Begin warm-up
10:15: Stage performance
10:45: Sight-Reading performance
11:10: Load the busses and depart for Pearson MS
11:25: Arrive back at Pearson for 5th period.
Symphonic Band is performing on Friday March 31
6:30 AM: Students are seated in the Pearson Middle School band hall wearing our concert black uniform. We will have a short warm-up/supply check before we leave.
7:00: Load busses
7:15: Depart for McKinney High School (1400 Wilson Creek Pkwy, McKinney, TX 75069)
8:00: Arrive at McKinney High School
8:30: Begin warm-up
9:00: Stage performance
9:30: Sight-Reading performance
10:00: Load the busses and depart for Pearson MS
10:45: Arrive back at Pearson for 4th period.
Students are welcome to bring regular school clothes to change into once we return to Pearson MS. Students will not be missing their normal lunch time, so they should plan on having lunch as normal.
Travel Release forms were due today, Friday March 24. If your student did not turn theirs in, please have them do so by Monday March 27.
Parents and families are invited and encouraged to attend both the Concert and Sight-reading portions of our evaluation, but please note that photography and videos are not allowed in the sight-reading room.
We are very excited for our students to have the opportunity to show-off what they have been working on this semester!
Reedy High School Band Information
Hello Future Reedy Band Parents,
Welcome to the Reedy High School Band Program. We are so excited to have you all join us. The band at Reedy is a family, and we are so glad that you are going to be a part of it. Below is a plea for you to consider joining our board. If that's too much for you, we'd love your help in a myriad of ways. In the fall, join the Pit Crew, help with meal handouts, chaperone, help with uniforms, the list goes on and on. However, seriously consider joining our board. The reasons are listed below. WE NEED YOU! Please look over the description of roles on the Reedy Band Board and seriously consider signing up to take a role. We would love to have your help. The Band Board is really fun. It is a joy to get to know other parents, work with them, and be the first to be in "the know" as to what is going on in band.

Summer Band Camps
We strongly encourage your student to attend a band camp this summer! It is a great opportunity for your student to improve on their instrument and make new friends. There are many options in the DFW metroplex and around the state. CLICK HERE to view a list of band camps available for summer 2023.
