Frisco High School Needs Student Volunteers

The Frisco HS Band is looking for 7th and 8th grade Band student volunteers to be part of the Frisco Band Drum Major Auditions at Frisco High School.  The Auditions will take place after school on Thursday, March 28th, between 4:45 and 8:30 pm; though our middle school volunteers will only need to be present for 1-hour windows (unless they’d like to sign up for more!)

7th and 8th grade students would serve in pairs as ‘test subjects’ for our drum major candidates to teach some basic marching concepts.  We will be focused solely on the performance of our high school candidates, and NOT on the performance of the middle school volunteers J

Reedy High School Band Booster Club

The RHS BBC is ready to take nominations for the 2024 – 2025 Booster Board.  The Interest form must be completed by March 31st.

Hello Reedy Band Parents,

The future of the Reedy Band program is shaped in part by the people who are chosen to serve in leadership roles as Officers of the RHSBBC (Reedy High School Band Booster Club).  These officers are a vital part of the success of many facets of the band program.  Officers are asked to commit two years to their position and the Booster Club’s future is determined by the leadership qualities and people skills of the individuals selected.

No officer will be permitted to hold more than one office at a time and only one member of a family may serve as an officer unless serving as co-chairs in the same office. An RHSBBC officer should exhibit enthusiasm for the Reedy Band, be willing to attend Booster Club meetings and have a sense of justice and fairness. Newly elected Board members will begin working on the next year immediately upon being voted in with existing Board members continuing to work on the current year and assist with the transition of leadership.

If you are interested in running for an office or would like to nominate someone, please submit this interest form including a brief description of qualifications on or before March 31st to the Executive Board Nominations Committee.  Forms may be returned in a sealed envelope marked “Nominating Committee” in the band lock box OR by completion of this Google Form.

Below is a description of each RHSBBC leadership position:

President: Ensure accomplishment of all orders and resolutions of the Board; Preside over all meetings; Maintain communication with Band Director, Students, and Parents regarding Board decisions

First Vice President – Volunteers: Assist the President; Serve as the Volunteer Chairperson and Coordinate chaperone and volunteer needs

Second Vice President – Ways & Means: Serve as Ways and Means Chairperson; Identify vendors, Negotiate contracts and present proposal to Board for review and approval
