All Region Jazz
Please congratulate the following students on auditioning for and making the All-Region Jazz Band:
Trent Bourdier- Trumpet
Emilia Figueroa- Guitar
This is an impressive accomplishment, as only a handful of students from the Frisco, Little Elm, McKinney, and Prosper ISDs make this group every year. We are so proud of these kids! This is a testament to their hard work and dedication.
If you would like to hear them perform, the concert will be in the Prosper High School auditorium this Saturday, January 20th, at 5 PM.
Band Spirit Night Fundraiser at Boba + Donuts
Join us on Thursday January 25 at Boba + Donuts at 2552 Stonebrook Pkwy from open - close (4:30am-8:00pm). Mention that you are with the Pearson Band and we will receive a portion of the proceeds!
UIL Sectionals
Students in Concert and Symphonic Band will have a weekly sectional starting the week of January 16 - Spring Break. Click here to view the schedule.
Band Sectionals / Bad weather policy:
-If school or school activities are cancelled for bad weather, sectionals are cancelled.
-If FISD has a delayed start to the school day, sectionals are cancelled.
-If there is bad weather, but school and school activities are not cancelled, we will still have sectionals. Please be safe when dropping your students off.
-If the band director needs to cancel a sectional, that will be communicated via email.
FISD Solo Contest- February 3rd
The district solo contest is on Saturday, February 3rd at Stafford Middle School. While the contest runs all day (9 am-4 pm), students will be assigned an individual time to perform for their judge. The performance plus the warm-up time should take between 30-45 minutes total.
We will communicate the performance schedule ASAP.
