Main Event- Friday, January 17th
Due to winter weather shutting down school on January 11th, our Main Event Party has been rescheduled to January 17th, still from 4:30-7:30. Since the event was delayed, we are extending ticket sales to Monday, January 13th.
Tickets to the Main Event Social will be $15 and will include a $10 game card, 1 hour time card for arcade games, pizza, a drink, and unlimited access to bowling, laser tag, gravity ropes, billiards, shuffleboard, and mini-golf. Transportation will not be provided, so students will need to be dropped off at 4:30 and will need to be picked up by 7:30. Please see the attached guidelines list for more information.
Tickets for the event can be purchased on the Cheddar Up Online Store. Refunds will not be available for absent students, but they may use the purchased game card at any other point in time. This offer is for Pearson Band members only. Tickets must be purchased by Monday, January 13th at 11:59 PM.
We still need one more chaperone! If you are available and willing to chaperone, please sign-up at this link.
We are so excited to have this fun event with our band family!
Instrument Petting Zoo- January 18th
Saturday, January 18th is the Pearson Band Instrument Petting Zoo. At this event, 5th grade students will have the opportunity to try all the band instruments and see what they are interested in playing next year. This is one of our most important events of the year because it determines the future of the Pearson Band! Since there are so many moving pieces, we will need both parent and student volunteers to help run our event!
Parents, please sign up to volunteer HERE.
Students in Concert and Symphonic Band will have the opportunity to sign up during their band class.
If you know a family of a 5th grader that is interested in attending the event to try instruments, please tell them to go to www.pearsonband.com/future-members for more information and to sign up!
FISD Solo Contest- February 8th
The district solo contest is on Saturday, February 8th at Stafford Middle School. While the contest runs all day (9 am-4 pm), students will be assigned an individual time to perform for their judge. The performance plus the warm-up time should take between 30-45 minutes total.
If you have a time preference (early in the morning, as late as possible, nothing between 12-2 pm, etc.), please communicate that to Ms. Jobe at jobel@friscoisd.org before Friday, January 17th. This will give Ms. Jobe time to make the schedule and communicate that schedule to all parents and students. We will try our hardest to accommodate all scheduling requests but cannot guarantee this given how many students are attending the event.
