Wylie East Jazz Festival
On Saturday, April 29th, the Pearson Jazz Band will be performing at the Wylie East Jazz Festival at Wylie East High School. This is the same festival we went to last year, and the students had a great experience. The festival will feature a judged performance by the Jazz Band as well as an incredibly valuable clinic with our judge after the performance to help us learn and grow as jazz musicians. There will be awards for outstanding solos and sections as well. We are incredibly excited about this opportunity!
The itinerary for the day goes as follows:

12:30 PM- Perform in the Wylie East auditorium
1:00 PM- Clinic with our judge in the band hall

Students received a travel release form that is required for this trip. This was due on April 6th. If you have not done so already, please sign and return this form ASAP. By returning this form, your student is committing to this performance, as well as the rehearsals indicated below. We want to make sure that we have the best possible performance at the festival, and to do that we have to have high attendance numbers from everyone in the band!
