Pearson MS Band - Beginner Band Festival - Pinstack
On Tuesday April 11th, the Pearson MS Beginner Band will be performing at Pinstack in Plano as part of the Pride of Texas Music Festival. This is an opportunity for our students to perform for adjudicators as well as have fun at the facility.
Itinerary
Tuesday April 11, 2023 - Pinstack Plano
Bring: Instrument (and all the supplies needed to play it) and band binder.
Wear: Band Tshirt and jeans
8:25am Students meet in the Pearson Band Hall with their instrument and binder,
dressed in band tshirt and jeans.
8:30am Parent Chaperones meet in the band hall for instructions. Please enter through
the main entrance and sign in/get your visitor pass from the front office.
9:05am Load the busses, take roll, and depart
9:25am Arrive at Pinstack Plano
10:00am Warm Up and Perform. Parents are welcome to attend the performance. Please note - audience members will be required to pay $10 to watch the performance.
10:45am Students have time to eat, play games, bowl, and participate in the activities at
Pinstack
1:40pm Load the busses and depart
2:15pm Arrive at Pearson MS. Students attend their regular 7th and 8th period classes.
Students are expected to be on their best behavior all day. This includes following directions of band directors, chaperones, bus drivers, and Pinstack employees. Remember, you are representing Pearson Middle School and the Pearson Band.
Students must be safe and follow all Pinstack and Pearson Middle School rules, policies, and safety procedures. Failure to do so will result in consequences according to Pearson MS discipline policy and loss of future Pearson Band social event privileges.
Parents, we would love for you to attend this performance. However, please be advised that you will have to pay $10 to watch us play approximately 5 minutes of music. If you would like to wait until the Spring Concert on May 8 to hear us play this music (for free!!), we completely support your decision.
We are SO EXCITED for our students to have the opportunity this year to participate in this fun event!

Summer Band Camps
We strongly encourage your student to attend a band camp this summer! It is a great opportunity for your student to improve on their instrument and make new friends. There are many options in the DFW metroplex and around the state. CLICK HERE to view a list of band camps available for summer 2023.
