  • Please click HERE to view the schedule. At this time, the schedule is finalized and time requests/changes will not be accepted.

  • Students will arrive 15 minutes before their solo's start time so they can find their room and warm‐up.

  • Students will leave after they perform. They will receive results and awards from their band directors in class the next day.

  • Families are allowed to be in the performance room while their student is playing.

End of Year Band Party- May 14th, Pearson Band Hall, 4-6 PM

We are excited to announce that the End of Year Band Party will be taking place on Wednesday, May 14th! This is a celebration of all the hard work that the band students have put in this year. At the party, there will be snacks, drinks, movies, sports, and a video game truck for students to enjoy!  Thanks to our amazing Band Booster Club, this party is 100% free for all students in band.

As of now, all students in band are eligible to attend. In order to retain eligibility for the party, students must attend the Spring Concert on May 7th. Students must also continue to follow all band rules and procedures as we enter the final month of school. Failure to do so will result in losing attendance privileges at the end of year party. If any such cases arise, we will notify parents on a case by case basis.

We are in need of several volunteers to make this party as fun as possible for the students! Please sign-up HERE if you can help. Volunteers will need to have a completed background check with the school district

We will be sharing more details and guidelines with students about the event in the next few weeks in class. It is going to be a great time, and we are looking forward to celebrating as a band family one last time before kicking off the summer.

Pearson Band Parent Association (PBPA) Board Positions for 2025-2026 School Year

We need you to serve as a member of the PBPA Board! The PBPA, or Band Boosters, play a vital role in helping the Pearson Band program run. Because of their support, we are able to participate in events and competitions, bring in clinicians to work with students, and hold social events.

The Vice President and Hospitality positions are open for the 2025-2026 school year. If you are interested in either of these roles, email Mr. Jenson at jensonm@friscoisd.org

Summer Band Camps

We strongly encourage your student to attend a band camp this summer! It is a great opportunity for your student to improve on their instrument and make new friends. There are many options in the DFW metroplex and around the state.

CLICK HERE to view a list of band camps available for summer 2025. This list will be updated as we receive information about 2025 dates and locations.

Daily Practice

All Beginning Band students should be taking their instrument home and practicing daily. During their practice time, students should play and reinforce concepts being taught in class and work on any material they are struggling to play. A daily practice habit is essential to becoming a great musician! Please help your student to build this habit by encouraging (and sometimes telling) them to practice every day.

Parents, the following is a fantastic guide for what and how your student should be practicing: https://practicingguide.weebly.com/
