Both the Reedy and Frisco High School Bands are into their competitive marching seasons!
The Reedy Band's next competitive performance will be at UIL on Saturday, October 19th at 3:30 PM in the Little Elm ISD Stadium
Last weekend, the Frisco HS Band won BEST drumline, overall music, and overall effect at the US Bands Contest in Burleson! They were awarded 4th place overall in finals out of 19 bands! Their next performance will be at UIL on Saturday, October 19th at 3:00 PM in the Little Elm ISD Stadium

Fall Concert- Wednesday October 23rd
Where: Pearson Middle School Large Gym
Schedule:
6:15-6:20 PM- Students begin to enter through the exterior door connected to the band hall.
6:30 PM- Students should be seated in the Band Hall (Concert Band) or the Orchestra Hall (Symphonic Band) for warm-up. Parents may sit in the gym bleachers while they wait for the concert to begin.
6:55 PM- Students will move to the gym for the concert. Concert Band members will take a seat in the band set-up while Symphonic Band sits in the back bleachers and watches.
7:00 PM- The concert will begin
7:45 PM- Approximate end of the concert
Students will wear their 2024-2025 band tshirt with jeans and tennis shoes. They should bring their instrument, music, and everything they need to play.
This is a required, graded performance. All Concert and Symphonic Band students must be in attendance.
All-Region Auditions
Select students from Symphonic Band will be auditioning for the All-Region Band on Monday, October 28th and Wednesday, October 30th. Students will be given individual time slots to audition and should plan on being present for an hour and a half on those evenings. More details will be sent out once I receive individual times.
Symphonic Band Sectionals
No sectionals the week of October 21-25. Students participating in the All-Region auditions will sign up for individual time slots to work with Mr. Jenson on their music.
Concert Band Sectionals

Private Lessons
We highly recommend all students in Symphonic and Concert Band sign up for private lessons, even if you were not enrolled last year. Private lessons are a great way to progress on your instrument with the assistance of a master teacher who plays that same instrument. While tutoring in a core class might only be to catch up or erase deficits in the learning process, private lessons are for everyone. Typically, the top musicians in the band program are ones that are in private lessons!
This is the time to sign up. Our teachers are in high demand and teach across several different campuses and districts. Lesson times are first come first serve, so sign up ASAP. You can sign up by reaching out to the lesson teachers directly via email, which can be found at our website HERE. You can also email Mr. Jenson at jensonm@friscoisd.org.
If you were enrolled in lessons last year, make sure you reach out to your lesson teacher to get on their schedule for this year.

Most of our Concert and Symphonic Band students have all of their correct supplies for class. If your student does not, please refer to the following:
