October 18th- Band Spirit Wear store closes
October 20th- FHS Band Preview Day- 9:15-10:45 AM (FHS Zoned 8th Graders)
October 22nd- Middle School Night with the Frisco HS Band (Required for Frisco Zoned Students Only)
October 27th- Chipotle Spirit Night
November 4th- All-Region Phase 1 (Symphonic Band Flutes, Clarinets, Trumpets, Trombones)- Trent MS- 5:30-9:15 (individual times to be assigned later)
November 5th- All-Region Phase 1 (Symphonic Band Oboes, Bassoons, Alto Saxophones, French Horns, Euphoniums, Tubas, and Percussion)- Faubion MS- 5:30-9:15 (individual times to be assigned later)
November 9th- All-Region Phase 2 (Symphonic Band Bass Clarinets and Low Saxophones and all advancing from Phase 1)- Strike Middle School- 5:30-9:15 (individual times to be assigned later)
Pearson Band Spirit Wear- Date extended!
For the first time in a long time, we are excited to offer Pearson Band Spirit Wear to our band families! Pearson Band members will still be receiving their yearly band shirt, but this spirit wear is open for the whole family. Currently in the store are a variety of t-shirts and sweaters/hoodies for when it (eventually) cools down outside!
You can view the Spirit Store by clicking HERE. Orders must be placed by October 18th and will be delivered to the school near the end of the month.
Frisco HS Preview Day- Tuesday, October 20- Action Required
8th grade students who will be attending Frisco High School next year will attend the "Frisco Preview Day" on Tuesday , October 20th! During this event, our students will have the opportunity to go to Frisco HS and meet with the current members of the band to get a small taste of what they will experience on Friday at the Middle School Band Night and beyond!
On Tuesday, October 20th, all Frisco-bound 8th grade students will need to go to the band hall for 2nd period. We have a bus set to take 8th grade students from Pearson to Frisco HS at 9:15 AM and will return at 10:45 AM. We will not be taking instruments. Students should wear their 2026-2027 Pearson Band Shirt. This event has been approved by our school admin, and teachers are aware that these students will be missing at this time. All students are responsible for making up any missed work.
This is going to be a great experience for all involved, and we are so excited for our students to get to interact with our former Patriots in the Frisco HS Band!
Students must turn in the permission slip that was passed out last week to go on this trip. The permission slip can be viewed HERE and can either be submitted in person on Monday or via email at jensonm@friscoisd.org.
Middle School Night with the Frisco High School Band- Thursday, October 22nd- Action Required
All 7th and 8th Grade band members that will be attending Frisco High School from Pearson Middle School and Hunt Middle School are going to perform at the Frisco HS football game on Thursday, October 22nd! The combined bands will perform in the stands with the Frisco High School Band and then stay in the stands for a great view of the Frisco H.S. Marching Band at halftime. Just think, in just a year or two, all of you will be out there with them!
October 22nd (7th & 8th graders) - Trip to Toyota Stadium (bus transportation provided to Toyota Stadium and back to Pearson)
5:30PM - Parents drop off students at Pearson to eat pizza dinner with the Pearson Band in the band hall
6:00 PM- Full band meeting in the band hall. Load busses.
6:15PM - Depart by bus to Toyota Stadium
7:00PM - Football Game Begins! We will be playing in the stands with the Frisco Band.
9:00-9:15PM - Estimated departure time from Toyota Stadium (we will be leaving after half time or at 9 PM, whichever happens last.)
9:30-10:00PM - Estimated arrival time at Pearson MS. Parents will pick up at Pearson.
What to bring/wear: Students will wear their new "Future Frisco HS Band" shirts which will be delivered this week. Students will also need to bring their instruments. Students that play the flute, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, horn, trombone, and percussion will need to bring their school issued flip folders and lyres. Students that play the oboe, bassoon, bass clarinet, euphonium, and tuba will need to bring their folding music stand and band binders. All students need to bring a water bottle so that they have access to water during the game.
All Frisco-bound 7th and 8th Grade students must turn in this permission slip in order to go. This form was passed out to all students on the block day. If you have not turned in already, you can send a digital copy to Mr. Jenson over the weekend at jensonm@friscoisd.org or turn in the physical copy on Monday.
This is a required (graded) event for all FHS-bound students in Concert and Symphonic Band.
Fundraiser Finale- Redeem your coins!
Thank you all SO much for your support in this year's fundraiser. The money that you all raised will help the band purchase new music stands, pay for clinicians, scholarship private lessons, and so much more! Students now have 30 days to redeem their coins in the prize shop.
Symphonic Band Sectionals
