December 12th- Winter Cluster Concert @ Reedy High School
December 16 -Side by Side Clinic/Concert with Reedy HS (required for 8th graders who will be attending Reedy HS)
December 18 - Beginning Band and Jazz Band Winter Concert (required for Jazz Band)
December 19 - Symphonic Band Holiday Tour
Winter Concert Uniform
Concert and Symphonic Band students will wear the formal uniform for the Winter Concert on December 12 (as well as 3-4 concerts in the Spring Semester).
Formal Uniform :
Black dress pants
Black dress shirt (button-up or blouse) with sleeves that hit the elbows or below
Black dress shoes (closed toe, flat bottom)
Plain, long black dress socks or stockings
Students should NOT wear t-shirts, jeans or joggers, tennis shoes/sneakers, or white socks.

Winter Concert
Pearson MS Band - Winter Cluster Concert (Reedy HS, Pearson MS, Pioneer Heritage MS) 6:00-9:00pm (see below for specific ensemble times)
Thursday December 12 - Reedy HS Auditorium
Bring: Instrument (and all the supplies needed to play it) and band binder.
Wear: “Formal Uniform” (see above)
Students are welcome to wear festive headwear and/or accessories to this concert.
CONCERT BAND ITINERARY
6:15pm Arrive at Reedy HS. Go to the CAFETERIA.
6:30pm Warm-up begins.
7:00pm Concert Band Performs on the auditorium stage.
7:20pm Approximate ending time of the Concert Band Performance. Students and
families have the option to leave or stay and watch other groups perform.
SYMPHONIC BAND ITINERARY
7:15pm Arrive at Reedy HS. Go to the Cafeteria.
7:30pm Warm-up begins.
8:00pm Symphonic Band Performs on the auditorium stage.
8:20pm Approximate ending time of the Symphonic Band Performance. Students and
families have the option to leave or stay and watch other groups perform.
This performance is part of the Concert and Symphonic Band curriculum, therefore attendance and participation is required and graded. If any conflicts arise, please contact Mr. Jenson or Ms. Jobe ASAP. We are aware that there is a conflict with the 7th grade girls / 8th grade boys basketball games and are working toward a solution for those individuals. If your child falls into one of those groups, we will reach out after Thanksgiving Break.
Jazz Band Concert- December 18th
5:45 pm- Rhythm Section arrive- set up in cafeteria
6:00 pm- Winds seated in cafeteria wearing band shirt and jeans. Warm up begins
6:30 pm- Concert starts. We will play a rock tune and then Jingle Bell Swing. After we play, we will watch the beginners play.
7:00 pm- Concert ends. Everyone helps the rhythm section pack up and put their equipment away.
Please contact Mr. Jenson ASAP if your Jazz Band student is unable to attend this concert.
Symphonic Band Sectionals
Students will be meeting with their sections in "Student led sectionals" next week.
Concert Band Sectionals
Monday Afternoon: Flutes AND Oboes
Tuesday Morning: Clarinets
Wednesday Advisory : Low Brass AND Bass Clarinets
Thursday Advisory (Patriot Training): Trumpets
Thursday Afternoon: French Horns AND Alto Saxophones
Morning sectionals are from 7:30-8:15 AM and afternoon sectionals are from 3:55-4:40 PM.
Jazz Band Rehearsals
In order to get ready for our performance at the Beginner Band Winter Concert (December 18th), Jazz Band will start having rehearsals after school on Mondays from 3:55-4:55 PM. These rehearsals are required for all members of Jazz Band that are performing in the concert.
Jazz Band will meet on the following Mondays: November 11th, November 18th, December 9th, and December 16th.

Most of our Concert and Symphonic Band students have all of their correct supplies for class. If your student does not, please refer to the following:
