High School Corner
Both the Reedy and Frisco High School Bands are into their competitive marching seasons!
Last weekend, the Reedy HS Band place first in prelims and fourth in finals at the McKinney Marching Invitational! The Reedy Band's next competitive performance will be at the Bands of America Contest in Prosper on October 11th.
Last weekend, the Frisco HS Band made placed first in prelims and second overall in finals at the Aubrey Marching Classic! The Frisco Band's next performance will be on Saturday, October 18th at the UIL Region Marching Contest.

Frisco HS Preview Day- Monday, October 20
8th grade students who will be attending Frisco High School next year will attend the first ever "Frisco Preview Day" on Monday, October 20th! During this event, our students will have the opportunity to go to Frisco HS and meet with the current members of the band to get a small taste of what they will experience on Friday at the Middle School Band Night and beyond!
On Monday, October 20th, all Frisco-bound 8th grade students will need to go to the band hall for 2nd period. We have a bus set to take 8th grade students from Pearson to Frisco HS at 9:15 AM and will return at 10:45 AM. We will not be taking instruments. Students should wear their 2025-2026 Pearson Band Shirt. This event has been approved by our school admin, and teachers are aware that these students will be missing at this time. All students are responsible for making up any missed work.
This is going to be a great experience for all involved, and we are so excited for our students to get to interact with our former Patriots in the Frisco HS Band!

This is a required (graded) event for all FHS-bound students in Concert and Symphonic Band.
Concert and Symphonic Band Fall Concert- Wednesday, October 29th
Location: Frisco High School
Schedule:
6:15-6:25pm - Students arrive at Frisco High School for warm-up. Symphonic Band warms up in the band hall. Concert Band warms up in the orchestra room.
6:30pm - Students are seated in their warm up locations ready to play.
6:55 PM- Students will move to the auditorium for the concert. Concert Band members will take a seat on stage while Symphonic Band sits in the audience and watches.
7:00 PM- The concert will begin!
7:45 PM- Approximate end of the concert.
Students will wear their 2025-2026 band tshirt with jeans and tennis shoes. They should bring their instrument, music, and everything they need to play.
This is a required, graded performance. All Concert and Symphonic Band students must be in attendance.
Candy Donations Needed!
Parents, we are in need of candy (or "knowledge" as we call it in band) to give out as prizes to students. If convenient, please consider donating any extra candy you might have from birthday parties, gatherings, etc. or picking up a bag of variety mixed candy next time you go to the store.

Students in Symphonic Band will begin their weekly sectional rehearsals the week of August 18. Click here to learn more about sectionals. Â
The Symphonic Band Sectional Schedule is as follows:
Monday PM (3:55-4:55)- Bassoon/Bass Clarinet
Tuesday AM (7:15-8:15) - Flutes
Tuesday PM (3:55-4:55) - Saxophones
Wednesday AM (7:15-8:15) - Clarinets
Wednesday PM (3:55-4:55)- Trombones, Euphoniums, Tubas
Thursday AM (7:15-8:15) - French Horns
Thursday PM (3:55-4:55) - Trumpets
Friday AM (7:15-8:15) - Oboes
Percussion will have sectionals with Ms. Magee during their band class
