November 5th- All-Region Phase 1 (Symphonic Band Flutes, Clarinets, Trumpets, Trombones)- Trent MS- 5:30-9:15 (individual times linked below)
November 6th- All-Region Phase 1 (Symphonic Band Oboes, Bassoons, Alto Saxophones, French Horns, Euphoniums, Tubas, and Percussion)- Scoggins MS- 5:30-9:15 (individual times linked below)
November 11th- Veterans Day Assembly (Symphonic Band Only)
November 13th- All-Region Phase 2 (Symphonic Band Bass Clarinets and all advancing from Phase 1)- Nelson Middle School- 5:30-9:15 (individual times to be assigned later)
High School Corner
Both the Reedy and Frisco High School Bands are into their competitive marching seasons!
Both the Reedy HS and Frisco HS bands earned 1st Division Ratings at their UIL contest last Saturday! Both schools will advance to the Area contest on Saturday, November 1st where they will have the chance to compete for a trip to the State marching contest!

All-Region Auditions- Symphonic Band Only
Select students from Symphonic Band will be auditioning for the All-Region Band on Wednesday, November 5th and Thursday, November 6th. The date and location depends on the instrument that the student plays. Students have been given individual time slots to audition and should plan on being present for an hour and a half on those evenings. Click HERE to view the individual times. Students are required to wear their Pearson Band Shirt to the audition.
Wednesday, November 5th- FLUTES, CLARINETS, TRUMPETS, & TROMBONES
Trent Middle School, Frisco TX
Thursday, November 6th- OBOES, BASSOONS, ALTO SAXOPHONES
Scoggins Middle School, McKinney, TX
Phase 2- November 13th- Nelson Middle School: Students who advance from Phase 1 and all Bass Clarinets will receive further information about this round by on or shortly after November 7th.
Students that make the All-Region Band will participate in the Clinic/Concert on December 12 and 13th at Pearson Middle School and Reedy HS. Details will follow the auditions.
"Upgrade Your Sound" Event
Music and Arts is hosting several "Upgrade Your Sound" events over the next 2 weekends. These are great opportunities to go and try upgraded models of the instruments that the students have been playing on as beginners.
The trumpet and trombone event is on November 1st at the Music and Arts in Lewisville. The saxophone event is on November 8th at the Music and Arts in Frisco.

Veterans Day Ceremony
On Tuesday, November 11th, students in the Symphonic Band will perform for the Veterans Day Ceremony.
Itinerary:
7:45am Meet in the band hall
7:50am Warm up. Percussion begins setting up equipment in the gym.
8:05am Begin setting up chairs and stands in the gym
8:15am Sound Check in the gym
8:30am Veterans Day Ceremony Begins. We will play Marches of the Armed Forces.
Bring: Instrument (and all the supplies needed to play it), band binder.
Wear: Band tshirt and JEANS
This is a required/graded performance for students in Symphonic Band.
Symphonic Band Sectionals
Symphonic Band Sectionals are currently on pause. Students have signed up for individual times with Mr. Jenson to review their All-Region music and scales.
