Instrument Petting Zoo- January 17th
It's almost time! Our annual Instrument Petting Zoo will be on January 17th, 2026. If you have an incoming 6th grader that is interested in band, or that just wants to try playing all of the different instruments, you can sign up for a time at this event by clicking HERE. Please share with your friends and neighbors if they have an incoming 6th grader!
This is one of our most important events of the year because it determines the future of the Pearson Band! Since there are so many moving pieces, we will need several parent volunteers for this event.
Parents, please sign up to volunteer HERE.Â
Chipotle Spirit Night- January 21st

FISD Solo Contest- January 31st
The district solo contest is on Saturday, January 31st at Stafford Middle School. While the contest runs all day (9 am-4 pm), students will be assigned an individual time to perform for their judge. The performance plus the warm-up time should take between 30-45 minutes total.
If you have a time preference (early in the morning, as late as possible, nothing between 12-2 pm, etc.), please communicate that to Ms. Jobe at jobel@friscoisd.org before Friday, January 16th. This will give Ms. Jobe time to make the schedule and communicate that schedule to all parents and students. We will try our hardest to accommodate all scheduling requests but cannot guarantee this given how many students are attending the event.
