Hello all and welcome to the Pearson Band! We have had a fantastic first three days of school getting to know our Beginning Band students and teaching them the first steps on their musical journey. We know that they are super excited to start playing on their instruments! They are also excited to take instruments home! Both of these things are a BIG DEAL and we have to make sure the students are ready first. We have preliminary information to teach - don't worry - they will start bringing instruments home in a few weeks. If your student is playing a school-owned instrument (oboe, bassoon, french horn, euphonium, or tuba) we will send separate information home about how to get the instrument.
In order to streamline communication, we will send out a weekly newsletter with pertinent information regarding band information and events. Please be sure to read through it carefully and make note of upcoming events on your personal calendar.

Tickets are $6 per person, and that covers the pizza, drinks, and pavilion rental. CLICK HERE to purchase tickets online. Tickets can also be purchased by cash (exact change only) or check (made out to the Pearson Band Parent Association) and turned into the band hall at school. Please seal any cash or checks in an envelope with your student's name, the purpose of the money (Family Picnic) and how many tickets you are purchasing labeled on the outside. Tickets must be purchased by Monday August 21st at 8 AM so that we can put in the order for the pizza.
We will be in need of several volunteers for this event! CLICK HERE to sign up.
We are looking forward to a great celebration with our band family!
We highly recommend all students in Beginning Band sign up for private lessons. Private lessons are a great way to progress on your instrument with the assistance of a master teacher who plays that same instrument. While tutoring in a core class might only be to catch up or erase deficits in the learning process, private lessons are for everyone. Typically, the top musicians in the band program are ones that are in private lessons!
This is the time to sign up. Our teachers are in high demand and teach across several different campuses and districts. Lesson times are first come first serve, so sign up ASAP. You can sign up by reaching out to the lesson teachers directly via email, which can be found at our website HERE. You can also email Mr. Jenson at firstname.lastname@example.org.
